2. Initial Basement Explosion (around 8:45 a.m.)
• A precision-placed explosive or energy discharge (e.g., thermobaric, plasma, or DEW-like) in the sublevels beneath or near the vault could:
• Overpressurize the vault walls or entry systems.
• Blow open or deform the door or vault housing.
• Disable security systems (cameras, alarms, locks).
The explosion reported by Rodriguez occurred in B2, a known vault level.
3. Coordinated Access
• Pre-positioned operatives, disguised as maintenance or security (possibly weeks in advance during the reported “elevator renovations”), could:
• Quickly enter the vault post-explosion using tools or backup charges.
• Use dollies, pallet jacks, or small industrial vehicles to move heavy gold bars (each ~27 lbs) rapidly.
4. Use of PATH Trains
• The PATH train station beneath the WTC, connected via underground tunnels, was directly accessible from the B-level corridors.
• A non-scheduled or modified PATH train, possibly #143 or #745, could have been positioned or rerouted just for this operation.
• The gold, loaded onto carts, could be moved from the vault across short, known corridors to the train platform, and evacuated.
There are claims of trains leaving the WTC complex after the collapse began — records of which were never released or are missing.
5. Disappearance of the Gold
• Post-9/11, $200+ million in gold was reportedly unaccounted for, with some found partially melted in the rubble, but not all.
